Saturday, June 5th I hosted a trials training day at the TTC. 10 riders from the ADVGeorgia group joined us. Why did I organize this? The TTC has a fleet of rental bikes and they only rent them during a class. When do they have classes? When enough people call and ask to be on a waiting list…so if you understand supply vs. demand-based marketing, you’ll understand how rare it is for them to have a class. So I setup a payment page, set a date, and marketed the day for the selfish reason that I wanted to ride some trials without buying a bike.

The “training” was very basic with little emphasis on technique or feedback compared to the coaches I’d worked with. That said, what the class lacked in instruction, it made up for in experience. The coach put us on some very difficult terrain that pushed all of us to our limits…it was awesome.
